Technology that puts everything in motion.

Voith has been making engineering history since 1867. Today, the company operates around the globe across three distinct sectors: hydropower, paper production, and drive technology. The corporate design could no longer keep pace with this growing diversity: it was applied inconsistently across the divisions, felt interchangeable, and was heavily print-focused, lacking clear guidelines for the digital world. The goal: a relaunch of the brand that makes Voith’s DNA visible, creates a strong and consistent brand identity, and still leaves room for the three business units.

In 2025, Voith set out to bring the brand closer together and make synergies between its business units more visible. At the heart of the new brand identity is the principle of movement. From papermaking to hydropower to drive technology: Voith moves industries, markets, and technologies—aligning solutions with what comes next. We translated this into a versatile symbol, the V-Vector, which can be reimagined depending on context while always remaining recognizable. A digitally optimized color palette, a custom typeface, and a new, more approachable tone of voice round out the system.

The project resulted in more than just a new look: for the first time, the three business units were united under a consistent, digitally native brand identity—a key step toward greater internal cohesion and clearer external recognition. Since March 2026, the new brand system has been rolled out step by step across all markets and all relevant Voith touchpoints. In recognition of its design quality, the work was honored with the Red Dot Award for Corporate Design & Identity in 2026.

The guiding principle of the new brand design: Movement

At the core of the new Voith brand lies a central insight: Voith creates, every day, what matters most in a world of constant change—movement. Built on the company’s own products, driven by entrepreneurial ambition. From papermaking to hydropower to drive technology.

The V-Vector: A powerful symbol for a cohesive presence across all divisions

Going forward, Voith makes this impact visible through a distinctive, powerful symbol: the V-Vector. It serves as the connective element across all corporate divisions—unmistakably Voith, yet versatile enough to shift and evolve depending on application, market, and campaign, all while never losing its recognizability. A symbol that leads, moves, and transforms.

Between familiar and innovative

The historically established Voith blue remains a strong signature color and is complemented by bright, energetic tones that give digital applications in particular a sharper, more distinctive edge.

Precision gets its own typeface

As unique as Voith’s products and people: the new custom typeface. Developed exclusively for the brand, it stands for precision, innovation, and engineering excellence, becoming a distinctive carrier of the new brand identity in its own right.

Faces, not backdrop

The new brand is more than just a look. It gives Voith a voice to tell stories—about its products, but above all about the sharp minds behind them.

Smarter. Closer. Unmistakable.

Voith is becoming more digital. Visible through the V-Vector, which reshapes itself with every market and channel, and in a color world that unfolds its full impact especially on screen. The result is a brand that becomes more modern, more approachable, and more accessible—for this generation and the ones to come. Yet always marked by the smartness and unmistakable charm of an engineer who is passionate about the work.
