MediaSaturn Holding has launched a new own brand in the entry-level price sector. The challenge for MUTABOR’s Identity Design division: How can the lower segment in Media Markt and Saturn be revitalized worldwide and made attractive for retailers? The brand development of OK is based on the concept of an honest, streamlined, clear brand identity. The special effects normally used in the leisure electronics sector were deliberately abandoned. The name ‘OK’, which is the most frequently used word in the world, breaks down barriers and also stands for the products’ quality and fair price. The corporate design and the packaging consistently pursue the basic approach – with a clear layout and simple, understandable infographics. The packaging in particular reflects the basic concept through the ambivalence of the plain brown cardboard look combined with glowing, clear colors.
